Spring Break Day

On April 16th, all Signature facilities celebrated Spring Break Day. The elders of Pine Ridge Care and Rehabilitation enjoyed a beach ball toss, bubble mania, making s’mores, balloon tennis, ice cream floats, and beach music. This was a great time for the elders to have fun while enjoying the outdoors.

Men’s Lunch Day

Pine Ridge Care and Rehabilitation elders were treated to a delicious lunch at Harbor House Seafood Restaurant in Johnson City. They were accompanied by stake holders Kristen McCloud, LPN, Restorative Manager Doug Hinshaw, Chaplain Heather Stout, and Quality of Life Director Roberta Campbell.

Spirituality LearnFEST draws crowd for virtual learning conference

More than 1,000 Signature staff members registered for the recent Spirituality LearnFEST, a virtual learning conference that encouraged participants to consider the impact of spirituality, if fully activated, in a long-term care environment.

And that number doesn’t even include the many who joined in groups, in offices, breakrooms and wherever there were TVs or computers at Signature centers across 10 states to view the live broadcast. The event featured sessions that tied spirituality to numerous aspects of long-term care and health care, from clinical care to legislative involvement and the impact of spirituality in the workplace.

Pine Ridge celebrates love with various Valentine’s Day activities

The team at Pine Ridge Care & Rehab found a number of ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year.

Pine Ridge elders and families enjoyed a Valentine’s dinner, by candlelight, along with entertainment. The staff hopes everyone enjoyed this special evening. Elder Walter Carrier and his lovely wife, Gail, and beautiful elder Elizabeth Nave and her brother, Danny Williams, are shown enjoying the evening.

Meanwhile, the fifth grade class of Mrs. Judy Williams, at Hunter Elementary School, recently designed Valentine’s cards that were given to Pine Ridge elders.  Elder Dorothy Blevins is pictured with Jaelyn Hardin as she receives her special valentine.

Also, the Elders of Pine Ridge Care & Rehabilitation celebrated with a party and surprise visitor Elvis Presley.  Elvis is pictured with his biggest fan, Glenda Sue Hampton.  The elders enjoyed refreshments and special music.

Haynes Family Appreciates Excellent Care

Dear Pine Ridge Care and Rehab,

Janet and I would like to tell you  how much we appreciated your time, advice, and your help with getting Clifford set As a new resident under your care.  You were so nice to work with, especially under a difficult time for our family.

The wonderful reputation that Pine Ridge has was certainly obvious to us as very well deserved.   We will do our best to provide as much assistance as you may need from us, to ensure the best possible results for our future working relationship with your facility.   Each and every staff member that we encountered all had friendly, courteous, and professional attitudes, which made us feel very comfortable with our choice of Pine Ridge as a care facility for our family member.
